When many think of jazz dance, they picture a soulful more relaxed, "loose-limbed" dance. However, jazz is more of an umbrella term that can refer to several related dance forms. In Move Dance Academy's jazz dance classes, we will teach your son or daughter the roots of dance and how jazz dance effortlessly allows all of the related styles to flow together. They will learn a variety of styles and receive exceptional dance instruction.

In our kids dance classes we encourage our young dancers to take various other dance classes in order to better understand each form and its origin. Jazz dance classes are a perfect example of how different dance forms flow together. Understanding each form allows our dancers to know the basis and see how Jazz, or other styles, bends the traditional technique and thus creates an entirely new dance altogether.
